I'm 5'8" but can be called anything between 5'7-5'11", people can't guess height for shit on the whole. That's my advice. Tons of guys in the average to slightly above average range claim this. I'm barely 6' and I have a good eye for height. You're not short enough to really be irreversibly held back in life in any important way. People who are "5'8" are generally 5'5-5'7, which is why it seems short. A lot of guys I know who are my height wear shoe lifts or thick boots. If you are happy the way you are, what difference does it make? Having been to New York, Florida, Dallas,etc, it was noticeable how many more guys were my height or shorter, in comparison to where I live. But it doesn't matter you can make up for that in muscle.

There's no point in lying if you're actually over 6'1, and under 5'5 is noticeably short enough that you can't get away with claiming an inflated height. When it comes to everything, I just cannot believe what this man achieved. As others have chimed in, I believe it's in you being comfortable with your own height and living up to who you are. It does depend on where you live. I have lots of friends who are 5'8ish, and "short" is never even close to their defining feature. 5'8" is pretty much in the average range here in the states.
