Sasha N. New York, NY. We asked if we could share several dishes but were not told that there would be a $2 charge for each dish (perhaps that is on the menu but the ambiance is very dark which makes the menu hard to read. One can have a pleasant conversation. Expect epic people-watching, attentive service, and pricey bistro fare at this Manhattan-based import.

We asked for the dishes to be coursed which they were not. The place oozes style and I suggest giving it a try for a nice long lunch or a special date-night dinner out! Yes it's very expensive but our post pandemic concept of what is acceptable for lunch has evolved tremendously. However I was disappointed by the desert; a tarte tatin. The place is lovely and the service was fine; in this case, "fine" is faint praise considering what you are paying.

Turns out, Le Bilboquet—born in 1986 as an elegant, 38-seat Upper East Side bistro (which has since expanded into larger Manhattan digs and outposts in Atlanta, Dallas, and the Hamptons) and dubbed “snobby” by the New York Post—is over-the-top when compared to most of metro Denver’s more laid-back restaurants. They were very flexible when we asked to replace the french fries with a vegetable. My take is that team behind Le Bilboquet nailed its Mile High City location and decor, staffed the restaurant to deliver a luxe experience, and the food, which is fine, is simply icing on the gâteau. Jury still out. It was amazing! The Denver menu will include traditional and modern French fare, as well as the house special: Cajun Chicken. From the wine to the risotto to the le poulet Cajun and steak frites to the tarte citron, to the funky playlist in the background, we had a truly amazing experience.

We arrived as it was opening and the staff seemed a bit confused and did t know quite what to do with us.

Book now at Le Bilboquet - Denver in Denver, CO. Had apps of cheese, salami, relish plate, escargot, tuna tartare.....very well made cocktails and a special fresh lemonade for our teenager. With the articles I'd read describing this as an outpost of a fancy NYC stalwart, I really expected to be wowed by the place. Entrees included Duck confit, sea bass, and prime flank steaks with chimmi sauce.

I have walked by their Cherry Creek location a few times to see plentiful outdoor seating and tasty looking meals, but when my friends and I made a reservation and went on a recent Saturday, it was disappointing. Bread was very good. Google reviewers love it; Yelpers are less enthusiastic; local food writers are lukewarm (and even uncomfortable). I'm so happy you enjoy our Onion soup and sorry we've not had it for you during your last visit.

The bar area is fun and there’s a gathering area at the front to sit and watch.

Good food. Quite possibly the blandest pesto this side of a frozen dinner.

I realize this establishment has only been open for a few months and should perhaps give it another chance. Some say it is just average and over-hyped. The seared venison tenderloin was excellent. As far as I recall the coffee was also mediocre. The hostess wasn’t that friendly, and we had to wait 45 minutes before being asked what we wanted for dinner. It can get noisy as tables are close and hard surfaces.

We will never go back. A nice bottle of French burgundy was very reasonably priced, considering.

This was just some hard apples and certainly did not resemble what it was supposed to be.

I had the de-shelled lobster with arugula pesto; the lobster was small and slightly overcooked and the pesto? had stopped by last Saturday around 2:30 to have lunch.

Don't know how this place could get anything short of 5 stars.

Jury still out.

Large parties of investors/developers/hedge-fund managers clink flutes of Champagne on the expansive shaded patio, while families order French fries and chocolate mousse and neighbors crowd around the gorgeous pewter bar.
