Took, Went to an Open House and was surprised how many animals there were. Took someone a long time to greet us, we had to accidentally walk into a restricted. Bullwinkle is responsible for one of the many success stories of animal assisted therapy. Thursday, Friday, Saturday & Sundays ONLY.

I've heard great things about the farm from East Haddam friends, but their children are younger so I was interested to see what an older child would think. Visiting with the animals is really a joy.

From the animals, to the beautiful farm, to the caring staff......definitely worth the drive to check it out. Here is a brief description of each. During our visit we saw ducks, horses, llamas, goats, turtles, a 33 year old turtle, a mule, and guinea pigs just to name a few. There are so many animals to see. A nurse mare foal is a foal who was born so that its mother might come into milk. Peacocks, rabbits, goats and, of course horses. From the animals, to the beautiful farm, to the caring staff......definitely worth the drive to check it out.

We do, however, offer goat feeding.

There is NO CHARGE to visit. All the animals were very well taken care of and friendly. She enjoyed feeding and petting animals, as well as getting the chance to hold a guinea pig.

Some foals from these horses are killed immediately after birth and some of the females will be raised to be "Premarin mares" and join the production line. Born on the farm, his pregnant mother and father were rescued from a feedlot while awaiting slaughter.
