i have a toddler & asked for a highchair; they brought out a large towel and positioned the high chair above it, and also gave my boys cute sectioned tray plates, forks, and plastic kiddy mugs with straws. I consult their website and decide what to order. Friendly host greets me, understands my takeout, goes to the back to check. It wasn't bad enough to send back, but I wouldn't order it there again.

Samurai, Pretty In Red & Volcano rolls are the best and pair nicely with the reasonably priced Kendall Jackson Sauvignon Blanc. As I was paying, I could see into the kitchen past the little Japanese flag runners covering the door, and noticed two Mexican men cooking all the hot food-- Second red flag. They also gave my fiancé a plate of assorted ice cream like red bean and green tea and also moshi (I think that's the name) with happy birthday written on it. The guy on the phone isn't terribly helpful, I have to ask him three times to explain please what's in a volcano roll until he finally tells me the ingredients. I was sadly disappointed.

One thing I will say for this place (hence the 2nd star) is the service was excellent. This sushi bar is not for light wallets, but if you're craving something beyond Cali rolls, it's a refreshing spot. If you have a small party (4 or less) you can get in rather quickly. Don't be confused by the name (if you are)-- Jo's is a JAPANESE sushi restaurant, if you get my drift. The sushi is a little expensive, but for the quality that you get, it's well worth it. The dynamite roll would have been ok if it wasn't overdressed with hot sauce. I go here about once a month with my coworkers for lunch. In addition to the sushi we ordered Thai food which came with a salad or miso soup.

One of the main reasons I love sushi so much is that it never tastes fishy, even though it's fish.
