If you have serious guns in your collection that require serious protection, the BF Series provides it lock, stock and barrel. First, I added the door switch ($21) to enable the lights to turn on and off by opening and closing the door.
The dealer recommended that I leave it that way. Keep in mind, that many USA made manufacturers do have import versions of their safes, so keep an eye on which line of safes you are looking at in their selection. That composite door has very little plate steel in it.
Specifically in Utah. If I win the lotto between now and then though, I might just get this safe. Based off of what I can see, none of their handgun safes are made in the USA at the time of this writing. A quick glance at the home page color scheme of this manufacturer answers this question pretty quickly.
In continuation of the spirit of this thread (which was to compare the Liberty Lincoln to the Amsec BF), I'd like to show a couple more little updates I made to the Amsec. It has products that have been verified for fire endurance by … Based … All Champion safes are made right here in the USA. With all the options things get more complicated. If you look at the video on Liberty's website showing their "engineers" breaking into one of their lower end safes, the door clearly bends and flexes, had those "engineers" used wedges to hold as they pried, they would have gotten in with just those prybars in about the same time as their competitions.
Their RF, BFII, BF, and vault doors are all made in America.

In terms of base option steel, AMSEC BF wins. Liberty (and Sturdy, for that matter) make decent fire protected RSCs, but they’re still just RSCs. USA Made Gun Safes are highly sought after for multiple reasons.
I too used the drag method when moving my safe in when we couldn't get it to walk sideways such as through the door way.
The Amsec also offers you at least one side that would be pretty hard to get through(the door), if you boxed the rest of the safe in a closet or enclosure in your house, and bolted the safe down, then a theif would have a much tougher time getting in. At the moment, none of their safes are made outside of the country. The company is serious about fire testing. I like the fact that the AmSec will probably work better for my needs in terms of style, color, and usage.

Well, at this point nearly 90% favor the Amsec to the Liberty, although I question the validity of the reasons to some degree without sceinetific proof. Safe & Vault Store recommends selecting one of the AMSEC BF series gun safes because of their quality and because they are made in the USA.
Hide your Amsec as best as you can, make sure that you have a monitored alarm system, and lock up any prybars, sawzall's, angle grinders, etc. I would recommend calling them to verify before purchase.
It is a well built safe.
That includes their low and high end safes. I think the AmSec BF series is better, and what I should have gone with instead of the Liberty (which I purchased 14 years ago). Plus the word flex and 1/2" solid plate door don't go together so the AmSec door flexing just isn't gunna happen imho. There is so much information on the Internet and it’s hard to decipher what is what.
I have another retailer that can get me an AMSEC RF6528 for $4600; AMSEC BF7240 for $2500. This company touts that their products are made in the USA.
