The candy was a perfect bonus after carrying that box up the stairs too. I did replace the stock tube with a 5751 which seemed to smooth out the gain and make it a little predictable. This little, pocket sized amp, just screams class overdrive sound. i wanted the amp to stay clean for as long as possible at any volume. The micro terror is so small I laughed when I got it. Can't wait till the pc108 are back in stock going to get two and have a mini stack. A 1/4-inch jack headphone output and 1/8-inch jack auxiliary input are useful additions for home practising, but don't be fooled into thinking that the diminutive Micro Terror couldn't be a serious option for live performance. I run the Micro terror through a 4x12 cab and it sounds amazing! And, for just 20 watts of power this little baby is loud. Same goes for the gain. Orange Amplifiers have gained a huge following in the past few decades, especially with high gain players.. Great tone at any volume, but *man* is this thing loud for its size! As expected, it's missing some of the bottom end. I have this little guy plugged into the Orange PPC112 and it drives it just fine. Buy it. It is loud enough to get over a rockandroll drummer at rehearsal. Coupled with Orange's 8" cabinet I'm amazed at the volume available and the quality of the sound. A single ECC83/12AX7 preamp valve gives the Micro Terror two stages of gain based loosely on the voicing of the front end of the original Tiny Terror head. and a larger speaker cab for it so it can breath.. great service as always from sweet water.

Such a huge sound from a tiny package! I plugged this into my Marshall 2X12 and did not expect the sound that came out. i use peavey virtual software.

It's a loud amp if you wanted it to be @ 20 watts RMS. great PRACTICE AMP or emergency small stage amp if a quiet room or PA reinforced.

While the PPC108 cab might seem a little boxy in isolation, for studio recording, it's just the ticket for a Dave Davies-style garage-rock bark, with none of the boomy bottom end that you might usually need to EQ out when mixing. I use it to power an old Randall 1x12 Celestion cabinet. Even gets decent country clean at pretty good volume. I cant believe how loud this thing is!!! put a sm57 in the sweet spot of the little cab 7 it blows my mind! You can use the gain knob to get some crunchy distorted sounds, although I don't do that in my music. I even use it in the bedroom and it doesn't bother my wife lol. Excellent little amp. That alone is worth the price! I go from my electric violin, into my multi effects pedal, a pre-amp eq then into this amp head. It's an great amp.And it's quite affordable.It delivers an big sound in an small package.I would recommend it to other guitarists. I am very impressed with it and it makes for a great practice/bedroom amp. Now I'm just waiting to see if Orange will manufacture a Micro Dark Terror! It also happens to have a knob that will deliver some pretty fun overdrive as you roll it up.

I keep the gain low and get any distortion i need from my effects pedal.

You just won't believe what it can do until you play it in person! i did buy the head/speaker. Awesome! I do lots of artificial harmonics and it works well even at low volumes and have not used any overdrive or distortion. it turns every virtual amp/effect into the real sounding deal. 10/10 would recommend. the 3.5mm won't maintain contact. Really authentic tube overdrive, louder than you could possibly imagine for an amp head this size, it just sounded amazing.
