Turn sharply right onto Minisink Avenue and continue for 0.5 mile to the DEC parking area on the left (the road changes its name to Old Greenville Turnpike after 0.3 mile; the trail enters the woods on the left just beyond 18 Old Greenville Turnpike). So I don’t think it’s a great choice for bringing young kids or anybody with any balance issues. My only complaint is some areas weren’t well marked and a few trees were down and we had to navigate around them.

Saw a few animals also, I think they were deers. TOTALLY worth it and a must do! Excellent trail for families with young kids. Trail was well marked until the very end, but the AllTrail APP on my cell phone guided us when we missed the tree markers. Still one of my favorite local trails to hike. There were a lot of spider webs all over the trail, which was a bit annoying, but didn't really bother us. After nearly two miles of hiking along the western side of the ridge, the trail joins a woods road for a short distance, then bears left and continues on a footpath.
