São Paulo hosted the first Brazilian edition of the world’s largest street food market, traditionally held in New York
On June 8th and 9th, the Ibirapuera Obelisk, in São Paulo, hosted Smorgasburg, a traditional food event from New York. The event, sponsored by Andorinha Olive Oil, is known as the Woodstock of gastronomy and featured an exclusive area for tasting Andorinha products and a music performance tent led by DJ and researcher Leonardo Ruas.
The market attracted over 100 exhibitors on stalls, food trucks and food bikes, renowned chefs and restaurants, and experimental operations with innovative and exclusive recipes. During the weekend, local foodies tried dishes exclusively prepared with Andorinha olive oil and olives. The event offered 17 hours of food and drinks with an audience of over 50,000 visitors.
